Leukocyturia

Leukocyturia is the presence of leukocytes, or white blood cells, in the urine. Normally, only a few white blood cells are eliminated through the urine. Leukocyturia is when the level exceeds more than 10,000 leukocytes per ml. An excessive quantity indicates pyuria which reflects an infection of the urinary tree, but leukocyturia can be found during autoimmune damage to the kidney.
